Harry Amass is Manchester United’s emerging left-back prodigy who is destined to replace Luke Shaw, he’s blown fans away recently.
It was only last summer that Manchester United beat Chelsea to the signature of Harry Amass from Watford and the 16-year-old has quickly become one of Carrington’s most exciting players.
Manchester United have the wonderkid in the under-18 set-up right now where he’s thriving on the left and looks ready for a bigger challenge already.
We named Amass as a player to watch in 2024, and so far he’s living up to that billing and then some. Standout performances have become common practice for him lately.
That being said, against Arsenal on Saturday in a 4-2 win, he pulled a wonderful moment out of his sleeve as he dazzled his way around Arsenal’s press in mesmerising fashion.
Afterwards, United fans all reacted on X and it is safe to say, they were all gobsmacked.
Harry Amass impresses Manchester United fans
Fans took to X to react to Amass’ wonderful display of his dribbling ability, with the same sentiment being shared by all.
One wrote: “I won’t go overboard because he’s 16, but United have Luke Shaw‘s successor nicely brewing with Harry Amass. Wow.”
A second fan admitted Amass is lessening the blow of losing Alvaro Fernandez: “Was angry we let Alvaro Fernandez go, but this Harry Amass kid looks the real deal.”
A third raved over the full-back: “Man United have a serious talent on our hands with Harry Amass, at just 16 years old, his technical ability on the ball, and his final 3rd play is brilliant.”
Another fan simply praised the academy which has also seen Kobbie Mainoo break through this year: “Carrington cooking another one.”
Luke Shaw’s successor is already lined up
This coming summer will be Shaw’s 10th anniversary since joining United and at 29, with three years left on his contract, a replacement must be in the back of the recruitment team’s mind.
However, in this case, they need not fear as the solution is already at the club in Amass.
The full-back has everything needed to succeed in the Premier League and now he just needs to put in the work and ensure he makes good on his potential.
