Manchester United have a long record of promoting youth talent and the club is going to be spoiled for choice in the years ahead.

Striker is a position where Manchester United need to add recruits in the short-term. In the long-term, the club is well stocked for young prospects.

Ethan Wheatley has already broken through and made his first team debut, becoming the 250th academy graduate to do so.

Gabriele Biancheri has also trained with the first team, and don’t rule out a strong season next year for Victor Musa, while Amir Ibragimov is highly touted, already featuring for the under-21s at just 16.

Look out for Louie Bradbury

One player who is making an impact for Manchester United’s academy sides is Wales youth international Louie Bradbury.

Bradbury is playing for Manchester United’s under-16s and has just completed his first full season at the club. It’s gone pretty well.

Posting on Instagram, Bradbury revealed he has scored 40 goals in all competitions in 2023/24.

Bradbury celebrates his 16th birthday in September and is expected to play a role for the under-18s during the upcoming campaign, testing himself at a new level.

Who is Louie Bradbury

Manchester United signed Louie Bradbury in early 2023 from Shrewsbury Town’s academy, shortly after doing a deal to sign Gabriele Biancheri from Cardiff.

Bradbury is a Wales under-16s international with three goals to his name since making his debut late last year, and he has always been prolific at whichever level he has played at.

Speaking in 2022, his dad Josh Bradbury told the Border Counties Advertizer: “Louie is a goalscorer and a scorer of good goals really – he scored 126 goals last season which is his best return.”

He is clearly continuing to demonstrate his eye for goal in Manchester United colours, and if he can make his mark for the under-18s this upcoming season, we could be hearing a lot more about him.
