Manchester United transfer target Adrien Rabiot is currently evaluating his options before deciding his future.
Adrien Rabiot‘s contract is expiring at Juventus and he is set to become a free agent from July 1.
French newspaper L’Equipe reported last month that Manchester United have been in touch with Rabiot, even claiming Erik ten Hag has spoken to him.
Juventus have not totally given up on Rabiot staying, even though they cannot offer Champions League football next season. BILD has reported Bayern Munich are interested too.
Adrien Rabiot decision
Adrien Rabiot is currently taking time over his next move. He is ‘evaluating the options’, report Italian outlet TMW.
Manchester United is one of Rabiot’s options, and a strong one. TMW report: “Manchester United on pole”, pointing to the Red Devils being front runners.
The report also urges to ‘pay attention’ to the possibility Rabiot could return to former club Paris Saint-Germain, who he previously left on a free transfer to sign with Juventus.
Rabiot’s mother Veronique, his agent, is also helping him to assess his next options.
The report explains it will ‘still take a few days’ for Rabiot’s decision to emerge.
The 28-year-old is coming off his best ever goalscoring season, in which he netted 11 goals.
But with Juventus due to play Europa Conference League football next season, after a seventh placed finish thanks to a 10-point deduction, staying in Turin is considerably less attractive.
Rabiot would add depth to Manchester United’s midfield, essentially replacing the role occupied by loanee Marcel Sabitzer, who would cost upwards of £15 million.
United negotiated over a move for Rabiot last summer, but he was not convinced, with the Red Devils only able to offer Europa League football at the time.
Last year Rabiot was among the starters in the World Cup final alongside Manchester United star Raphael Varane.
