U18s victory over Northern Ireland

United’s young players celebrated the victory with 17-year-old goalscorer Ethan Ennis posting on social media, ‘nothing beats a late winner’.

He was joined by defender Jack Kingdon who netted his first ever goal at under-18s level.

United’s under-18 side face Northern Ireland’s under-18s again on Wednesday night, and Monday’s match showed it won’t be an easy test.

Ennis was a substitute for the first fixture, coming on to score the winner, and he will probably be involved from the start in the next game.
