Manchester United have agreed personal terms over a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United have not long wrapped up a deal to sign French wonderkid Leny Yoro.
Yoro’s signing was announced a few hours ago, with the former Lille defender posing in club colours after agreeing the move.
Now, Manchester United are pushing ahead to tie up a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte.

Latest on Manuel Ugarte
Fabrizio Romano reports Manchester United have agreed personal terms with the Uruguay international.
He reports via X: “Manchester United have agreed on personal terms with Manuel Ugarte. Contract terms discussed, player keen on moving to United even without Champions League football.
“Club-to-club talks continue with PSG, as more clubs also inquired. Same agent as Leny Yoro: Jorge Mendes.”
Manuel Ugarte would become Manchester United’s third summer signing after Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.
Ugarte only signed for Paris Saint-Germain a year ago, but manager Luis Enrique wants to re-shape his squad and the midfielder is now potentially available for transfer.
Lightning speed shocking Manchester United fans
Manchester United are moving incredibly quickly in the transfer window now that Euro 2024 and the Copa America has come to an end.
Zirkzee’s deal was confirmed on July 14, with Yoro announced four days later. Now the club are pushing ahead to land Ugarte.
Manchester United fans just aren’t used to this. The only time the Glazers move this quickly on transfer deals is on deadline day, when they have left it all to the last minute.
This time the club look organised, forceful, and determined to make a splash, and do it early, in time for the pre-season tour.
Agreeing personal terms, in itself, does not guarantee a deal will be done. We saw this with Jarrad Branthwaite, but it does make it a lot easier, and it demonstrates Ugarte’s willingness to make the move.
