Manchester United’s move to sign French wonderkid Leny Yoro has moved a step closer to being announced.
After Fabrizio Romano reported 24 hours ago that Leny Yoro had completed the first part of his medical, he claims it is now fully complete.
Romano insists Yoro has now signed his Manchester United contract, with the Red Devils and Lille now putting the finishing touches on the deal.
Yoro is set to become United’s second signing, after the Frenchman decided to turn his back on his previous plan to sign for Real Madrid.
Leny Yoro has signed his contract
Manchester United could have been forgiven for worrying Real Madrid would want to hijack the deal after learning Yoro had flown to Manchester.
However, it quickly became apparent they had given up, with Real reacting by turning their attention to pursuing other targets instead.
Yoro was tempted by United’s more aggressive approach, and he has now put pen to paper on his contract with the Red Devils.
Leny Yoro deal is generating excitement
Manchester United fans were amazed by the Leny Yoro signing, which has seen club investors Ineos make a major statement.
Yoro has been praised by Thierry Henry, while Rio Ferdinand had also urged Yoro to join Manchester United.
There has been speculation from France that Yoro will get the number 15 squad number, following in the footsteps of Nemanja Vidic.
Yoro has not been involved over the past international break, nor is he scheduled to feature in the Olympics for France, so he will be able to link up with the Manchester United squad immediately.
