Manchester United youngster Maxi Oyedele is back at the club after an unproductive loan spell.
Maxi Oyedele signed for Forest Green Rovers in the January transfer window, hoping to build on a strong stint at Altrincham last year where he scored four goals.
But his time with League Two strugglers Forest Green was dealt an immediate blow, when the manager who signed him was sacked after just 24 hours.
Oyedele was restricted to just a handful of substitute appearances adding up to just over an hour of football combined.
Oyedele loan ‘over’
Maxi Oyedele is back at Carrington to play academy football, with his loan at Forest Green Rovers effectively over.
He has now started the team’s last two under-21 matches, against Derby County and Middlesbrough, and has not been in any of Forest Green’s recent squads.
With his last appearances in a Forest Green squad almost a month ago now, The Mail, report his spell there is ‘effectively over’.
Oyedele reacts
Oyedele is moving on, and is not planning on being deterred by his unfortunate experience with Forest Green.
After his latest appearance for United’s under-21s, Oyedele sent out a message indicating he is staying positive.
He wrote on Instagram: “Water under the bridge”.
Oyedele received supportive messages from his young Manchester United teammates.
Hannibal Mejbri, on loan at Sevilla, responded to simply say ‘like it’, while Willy Kambwala responded with a heart emoji.
Oyedele, 19, shouldn’t be disappointed about his predicament, he did not get a fair chance to show what he could do out on loan, not even granted a single start.
