Manchester United’s players were straight back to training after the midweek draw at home to Leeds United.

Manager Erik ten Hag sought to freshen it up by including the under-21 squad in with the first team players for the session.

This saw the likes of Jadon Sancho and Casemiro mix with Colombia under-20 forward Mateo Mejia.

Mejia is enjoying his most consistent injury-free spell at United since joining from Real Zaragoza in 2019, and has three assists in six games this season.

It was good to see Casemiro still involved and keeping fresh while he serves his three-match domestic suspension.

He will be back in action next week in the Europa League when Manchester United visit Barcelona next Thursday.

Lisandro Martinez will be suspended for the fixture, while Marcel Sabitzer will also miss the first leg through a suspension accrued at Bayern Munich.
