The 2024/25 season is appearing on the horizon and now it’s been reported that it could see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer facing Manchester United.
Three years on from his sacking at Manchester United, club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjar is yet to return to management despite having quite a few offers. Offers have ranged from international to the club, however, the Norweigan has rejected them all with the Ireland job being the most recent.
It’s disappointing that he hasn’t, as in hindsight he did an excellent job in a tough situation at United and it would’ve been interesting to see how he fared elsewhere, unfortunately, he’s probably been deterred by how messy the end to his time at United was.
But this could all be about to change and we could see Solskjaer back in the Premier League next season if the latest reports are to be believed.

If the latest rumours are true, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s return to Old Trafford could come next season, but he’ll be in the opposition dugout.
It’s according to a report from SunSport, Solskjaer is in talks with Leicester City as they weigh up their options to replace Enzo Maresca.
The story continues that Solskjaer is keen on taking over and having the challenge of keeping the Championship title winners in the Premier League.
Leicester City chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha is a fan of the Old Trafford legend and the Norweigan only narrowly missed out last summer when the Foxes originally appointed Maresca.
Since being let go by United in November 2021, Solskjaer has rejected several opportunities, but to see him back managing in the Premier League would be really exciting.
Is Solskjaer a good appointment for Leicester?
If the Foxes opt to appoint Solskjaer, it’s a decision they surely wouldn’t regret with the Norweigan’s style of football being perfect for a talented side who’ll likely play quick transition football.
Solskjaer showed in his time at United that he is an excellent man manager and also is seriously underrated in the tactical game, as looking back at the squad he dragged to third and second, he was working miracles.
We’re inclined to say that he’d be a success, and we’d also love to see him in the role and returning to Old Trafford where he’d get an incredible reception, one he deserves and would love to receive after how distraught he was upon departing.
