Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has revealed the best and worst teammates from his illustrious playing career.
Rooney, who called it time on his professional playing career in 2021, enjoyed incredible success at Old Trafford after Sir Alex Ferguson signed him for United.
Following his £27m move from Everton in 2004, Rooney would smash Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time goalscoring record at United and would later become club captain.
The 38-year-old former United striker captured five Premier League titles, a Champions League, a Europa League, an FA Cup and three League Cups.
Rooney, who is now the manager of Birmingham City, returned to Everton in 2017 after his spell with United and briefly played for his boyhood club again.
The ex-United skipper went on to play for DC United and Derby County before calling it time on his career, with Rooney later managing both sides as a coach.

Rooney’s best and worst teammates
During his prolific playing career, Rooney crossed paths with several talented players both for club and on the international stage with England.
The former England star, who candidly opened up on a coping mechanism he adopted in his United career, recently made an appearance on the Seven podcast.
Speaking to rugby league legend Rob Burrow, Rooney was asked which players would make his best and worst teammates from his glittering career.
The Three Lions’ former all-time record scorer’s choices were from his time at United, with Darren Fletcher named as his best teammate and Nani as his worst.
“My best teammate, I’d say Darren Fletcher,” he said on BBC Sounds’ Seven podcast.
“There were a few — John O’Shea, Wes Brown, Michael Carrick — we were all really close.
“But Fletch was probably the one [who was the closest.] We sat next to each other in the dressing room and shared really good moments on and off the pitch together.
“My worst teammate — there are a lot more than you’d probably think!
“On the pitch, I would say the toughest one was Nani. He was frustrating to play with.”
Where are Fletcher and Nani now?
Fletcher played for both West Brom and Stoke City after his lengthy spell at Old Trafford, with the United fan favourite now a technical director at the Red Devils.
The 39-year-old former midfielder lifted five Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup and a League Cup with United.
United cult hero Nani, on the other hand, is still playing football and is currently signed with Turkish side Adana Demirspor.
The 36-year-old former Portugal star captured four Premier League titles, a Champions League and two League Cups during his prolific spell at United.
