The brother of Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho sent out a telling message after England’s 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday.
England reached their second consecutive European Championship tournament, only for the Three Lions to fall short of the Henri Delaunay trophy again.
Gareth Southgate’s men had been tipped as one of the early favourites to win this summer’s Euros alongside the likes of Germany, France and Portugal.
However, the Three Lions came under mounting criticism over their performances at Euro 2024 in Germany, despite managing to make it to the final.
England produced a sensational 2-1 comeback win against the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 semi-finals at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund last week.
Spain, on the other hand, knocked out host nation Germany in the quarter-finals before defeating France in the semi-finals en route to the Euro 2024 final.
Luis de la Fuente’s men were widely tipped as the favourites to win Sunday’s final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin after an impressive campaign at Euro 2024.

Spain signed off the UEFA tournament on the weekend by lifting the Henri Delaunay trophy without losing a single match in this summer’s Euros.
Nico Williams has been in red-hot form for Spain at the competition and broke the deadlock against England early in the second half of the final.
Chelsea star Cole Palmer came off the bench and pulled England back into the contest, but Mikel Oyarzabal restored Spain’s advantage in the 86th minute.
Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw were the two Manchester United stars who featured in the 2-1 defeat at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
Luke Shaw made his first start for England at the tournament after recovering from an injury, with the United star impressing with his performance in the first half.
Kobbie Mainoo, on the other hand, has played a starring role at Euro 2024 and has widely impressed with his performances in the knockout rounds of the tournament.
However, the 19-year-old United midfielder had very little impact in the final and was pulled off by Gareth Southgate in the 70th minute for Cole Palmer.
Alejandro Garnacho’s brother took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and made his feelings clear on England fans after Mainoo’s impact at Euro 2024.
“Yu [sic] guys don’t deserve him,” Roberto Garnacho wrote.
In a follow-up tweet, he said: “Palmer aswell [sic].”
Southgate breaks silence after Euro 2024 defeat
Southgate, who is out of contract with the Three Lions in December, admitted that Spain “had more control” of the Euro 2024 final than his side were able to manage.
“The players will take enormous credit for getting us to where we did, but when you’re as close as that, you have to take your chance,” he said on ITV, as per BBC Sport.
“They have represented the shirt with pride and haven’t been beaten until the very end. I just think Spain had more control of the game.
“England are in a really good position in terms of the experience they have. Most of this squad will be around for the next World Cup and maybe the next Euros.
“There’s a lot to look forward to but at this moment, it’s not any consolation.”
