Alejandro Garnacho’s brother had a hilarious response on social media after the Manchester United star reportedly emerged as a target for one club this summer.
The 19-year-old Manchester United winger impressed last season for the Red Devils and has become a key first-team player under manager Erik ten Hag.
Alejandro Garnacho made 50 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, with the United star scoring 10 times and registering five assists.
Despite United’s disappointing Premier League campaign – where the club finished in eighth place – Garnacho played a key part in his side’s FA Cup triumph last month.
The Spain-born winger opened the scoring for United in the FA Cup final at Wembley before Kobbie Mainoo scored his side’s second against Manchester City.
Garnacho has been away from Old Trafford this summer after both he and Lisandro Martinez were called up for Argentina’s Copa America title defence.
Garnacho’s brother responds to transfer interest
According to Alkass TV Sports, Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are believed to be interested in Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho.
It has been reported that Al Hilal could be ready to table a lucrative offer to United for the highly rated Argentina international.
Garnacho is under contract with United until 2028 and is believed to be a long-term prospect at Old Trafford alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund.
It is unlikely that United would entertain a serious bid for the Argentina winger, who remains an important part of Erik ten Hag’s plans at the Premier League club.
Roberto Garnacho took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and reacted to one United fan account sharing Alkass TV Sports’ report.
The United star’s brother wasted no time in dismissing the speculation around Alejandro and did not hold back with his response.
“TF [the f**k] is this,” Roberto wrote, adding a laughing emoji.
When one X user suggested Alejandro should ‘take’ the offer, Roberto responded: “Nah, some others should.”
Ten Hag thinks highly of Garnacho
Ten Hag admitted that he sees Garnacho, Mainoo and Hojlund as part of United’s long-term future and praised their respective impacts last season.
The United boss was a big fan of the trio’s celebration against West Ham in February after they sat on an advertising board together in front of the Stretford End.
“The future for Manchester United is very good because we have so many [young players] with high potential,” he told the BBC at the time, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“I think that picture encompasses a lot and, when they are together, that is how we want to play football and with that adventure. They can achieve high levels.”
