Euro 2024 is set to kick off on Friday night, so it’s the perfect time to consider how far the eight Manchester United players will go.

This summer brings the latest rendition of the European Championships and for Manchester United, there are eight players taking part in the competition.

For England, Gareth Southgate called up Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw, which saw Harry Maguire cruelly miss out due to injury, while Marcus Rashford was excluded after his woeful season.

In the Portugal squad, United also have two players in Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot who are set for a successful tournament.

Scott McTominay will be representing Scotland, while Altay Bayindir is set to compete against Portugal with Turkey.

Finally, the pair of Danes, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund are both set for a key role in Denmark’s chances, and they’ll also face a group stage meeting with England.

But how far will they all get? Here’s our prediction.

How far Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw will get in the Euros predicted

So, starting with England who will be rather expectant of having a strong tournament after reaching the finals last time.

In our prediction we have England topping group C, before going on to defeat the Netherlands in the round of 16, Spain in the quarter-finals and then finally getting that win over France in the semis after coming so close to doing so in Qatar 2022.

England, however, won’t win the tournament in our eyes but a strong run to the final can be expected, where anything can happen and Mainoo and Shaw will be hoping they go one further than we’ve predicted.

How far Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot will get in the Euros predicted

Next up is Portugal, and just like England, we view them as topping their group. This is group F and this will see them according to our prediction face off against Slovenia from group C as a third-placed wildcard.

We then have Portugal beating Austria and hosts Germany on their run to the final where we expect Fernandes to help his nation to a second European Championship in just three attempts, beating England in the process.

How far Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen will get in the Euros predicted

For Denmark, second in the group with England winning it is a solid result, however, this does provide them with a tricky round of 16 fixture.

Second place in Group C will likely have to face the hosts Germany, who we expect to get to the semi-finals.

This means we see an early but respectable exit for Hojlund and Eriksen.

How far Scott McTominay will get in the Euros predicted

Scotland have a tough group and have been written off by many, but it’s important to remember that they were on fire just a few months ago.

If they find that form, we see them making it out of the group although there they’ll run into either Spain or Italy most likely.

This may be a step too far, however, McTominay will likely be among the goals for the Tartan Army which will be nice to see from a United perspective.

How far Altay Bayindir will get in the Euros predicted

Finally, Bayindir and his Turkey side are in the group with Portugal and therefore will likely be competing for second place with the Czech Republic and Georgia.

We think they’ll secure second in this group, with Real Madrid’s Arda Guler one to watch this tournament.

However, if this is the case, they’ll probably then have to face France which would be a fairly one-sided affair, at least on paper.
