Manchester United might’ve just completed the deal of the summer, Ineos have done a remarkable job to make it happen.
The phrase ‘generational talent’ is thrown around a lot these days, however, in regard to Leny Yoro it’s a description which is spot on.
The 18-year-old Lille centre-back is ahead of the game and seen as being the Kylian Mbappe of centre-backs, and it’s clear to see why.
The excitement over this move comes as David Ornstein reports that the deal is now close, and Yoro is actually already making his way to England to finalise the deal and complete his medical.
As he makes his way toward a United move and travelling to Manchester, the updates around Yoro could be coming thick and fast – news which will delight Rio Ferdinand.
Having almost beaten Real Madrid to the signature, United may have just proven the club is back and made the signing of the summer in doing so.

Why Leny Yoro to United is the deal of the summer
When he was first linked, many considered Yoro a pipe dream, considering he was set on Madrid, but Ineos are set to pull off the deal of the summer in a £52m deal for Yoro.
He is the signing of the summer for more than just his ability and potential to be the best defender in the world, with it also being a massive statement for Ineos in their first summer.
There is no chance that the previous regime would’ve managed to complete this deal, and the top-of-the-class structure put in place is already earning their money.
Yoro is the next best defender in the world, with the Frenchman being just 18 yet already the most important player in an impressive Lille team.
Alongside Lisandro Martinez, Yoro could be set to improve even further next season and he could be the man who kick-starts United’s rise back to the top of football.
This is the kind of deal that Madrid usually walks into completing, but for the Red Devils to get it done says tonnes about the ambition of Ineos and the club.
Leny Yoro is Lisandro Martinez’s dream partner
For Martinez, this signing will be a watershed moment, as he will know that he no longer has to deal with the likes of Jonny Evans being his partner.
Yoro improves the defence tenfold immediately, and he’s a player that fans should be buzzing to see in action, assuming the deal ends up getting done and United avoid a Madrid hijack.
Yoro is quick, tall and strong, while also being excellent on the ball and in possession. Exactly what Martinez would have wanted next to him, but Yoro has so much scope to improve and is far from the finished product.
Yoro has long been compared with Raphael Varane, and therefore it makes perfect sense that United would want him to sign.
While he is so young, however, fans might need to give him patience initially, but he will without a doubt be an incredible addition.
