Manchester United are pulling off a real coup with a deal for French defender Leny Yoro, with a fee agreed.
Leny Yoro is set to become a Manchester United player, with the Lille centre-back jetting in to undergo his medical.
The developments come after The Guardian reported Lille had accepted an offer of £52 million, a fee which includes add-ons.
Real Madrid appear to have given up on Yoro, now turning their attention towards other defensive targets.
Liverpool wanted Leny Yoro
Real Madrid are not the only team to miss out on Leny Yoro to Manchester United, rivals Liverpool wanted him too.
According to The Mail, Leny Yoro was Liverpool’s ‘prime target’.
They did not believe they could beat Real Madrid to his signature, while Manchester United made a decisive move.
Liverpool are yet to make any signings this summer under new manager Arne Slot.
United face Liverpool in the third game of the Premier League season, with Leny Yoro a strong possibility to be in the line-up.

Yoro could face Liverpool in pre-season
Leny Yoro could go up against Liverpool in the club’s pre-season tour of the USA, when the two teams face off.
United face Liverpool in Carolina on August 3 in a 12.30am kick-off (UK time), the club’s final game before the Community Shield.
Getting one over Real Madrid is a statement, but beating Liverpool to the Leny Yoro deal makes it even sweeter, and will have a bigger impact for Erik ten Hag.
United are going to be pushing to win a trophy in a third successive season, and also qualify for the Champions League.
Adding Yoro in addition to Joshua Zirkzee is a step in the right direction.
